This collection developed through a desire to make tangible material interpretations of sublime experiences of landscape.  Focusing on illustrative texture, considered yet unconventional colour, material qualities of translucency, opacity and intense stitch, in order to create a sensory and emotive language of landscape through embroidery. Using a range of materials, with an emphasis on natural fibers and slow design principles, this collection draws on concepts of 18th century Romanticism and Celtic Twilight to create embroidery visualised for couture garments
